In a market overview released at its recent annual meeting, the Control System Integrator Association (CSIA, Exton, Pa.) reported that its 142 member companies earned total revenue of nearly $0.9 billion in 2001. These earnings were split roughly 60-40 between value-added services and pass-through product sales.
In a market overview released at its recent annual meeting, the Control System Integrator Association (CSIA, Exton, Pa.) reported that its 142 member companies earned total revenue of nearly $0.9 billion in 2001. These earnings were split roughly 60-40 between value-added services and pass-through product sales.
“The total membership grew by 16 integrators or 15% from 2000 to 2001, while revenue was only up 3%. I would assume this is because of the poor economic climate last year,” says Bill Pollock, CSIA’s statistics committee chairman.
Nonetheless, the combined sales figure represent nearly 13% of the total worldwide gross revenues for system integration companies, which CSIA estimates is approximately $12 billion per year.
