Spring House, Pa. —Sipart PS2 is Siemens’ newest digital valve positioner incorporating auto-tuning, improved diagnostics, and actuator leak test as standard in all units. It permits users to identify and schedule necessary maintenance actions, thereby avoiding unplanned shutdowns. PS2 supports Profibus-PA or HART communications protocol and can be operated through a Microsoft Windows-based HMI using simple PC software. Where manual valve position actuation is preferred, PS2 is reported to support a simple built-in interface. Other features include user-defined ramping, tight shut-off, and full open settings; seven preset flow characterization curves; a 21-point user defined characterization curve; split-ranging; and a universal shaft for linear or rotary applications. www.sea.siemens.com
