Real-time offerings included in the kit are: QNX real-time operating systems from QNX Software Systems Ltd. and Cogent Slang programming language for QNX from Cogent Real-Tim3e Solutions Inc. Available real-time extensions for Microsoft Windows NT 4.9 are: INtime from RadiSys Corporation with Intrinsyc Software’s Integration Expert; and, VenturCom Inc.’s RTX. Phoenix Technologies Ltd.’s PICO BIOS is also used. The embedded systems market is driven by the emergence of low-cost, 32-bit microprocessors and can now draw upon commercially available Microsoft Windows 32-bit operating systems and application software.
