Machinery Health Manager 5.3 for Emerson’s AMS Suite adds Smart Wireless vibration data and enhanced autoplot capabilities to the larger asset management software platform.
Emerson says that with AMS Machinery Manager 5.3, end users can gain new insight into the operations of their critical machinery using wireless vibration information from the CSI 9420 wireless vibration transmitter.
The wireless capabilities of the AMS platform can include any WirelessHART-enabled transmitter, so any process data can be imported into the asset management system via that protocol. Watch a video on wireless vibration monitoring .
The company has designed the system to integrate a group of machinery health functions into a single application. Important device diagnostic information can be correlated from multiple sources, including online machinery monitoring systems, portable route-based analyzers, and wireless devices. With this comprehensive picture of equipment health, users can identify alerts that could impact production and drive to the root cause of persistent problems.
The new alarm limit functionality allows users to reset machinery health alarms easily for in-depth analysis of impending failures. The new autoplot capabilities can display plot data sequentially or as one plot at a time for both online and portable vibration data. Users can manipulate the data as needed to make informed decisions using case histories, automated diagnosis, and logged machinery health notes. One new module supports infrared thermography with a Fluke Ti55 IR imaging device. With this new import functionality, users can view and configure Fluke visual and thermal images. Improved IR reporting formats provide user-selectable items for inclusion within the reports.
