ST75 Series flowmeter from Fluid Components International (FCI) measures and monitors air or gas flows in line sizes from 0.25 in. to 2.0 in. (6-51 mm) with a single instrument and provides three outputs of mass flow rate, totalized flow, and media temperature. Device combines a non-clogging, small-size thermal-dispersion sensing element with microprocessor-based electronics and precision calibration for fast measurement. No other sensors are needed, reducing installation complexity and maintenance. Flowmeter is available in nine line-size configurations in standard T-fittings, either NPT or tube, and is suited for low- and high-flow applications.
ST75 is intended for fuel and air flow measurement for boilers, burners, chillers, furnaces, heat-treating systems, turbine, and cogen power generators. It was developed, says FCI, as a low-cost, high-accuracy, small-line mass flow solution for processes flowing natural gas, methane, other fuel gases, combustion air and oxygen, nitrogen and all inert gases, and compressed air. The device provides
“We did a lot of market research before launching this product,” says Eric Wible, engineering director, “and believe this device helps fill out our product line by addressing small-line measurement.” The product, continues Wible, offers a no-moving-parts design and non-clogging technology that gives users a high accuracy and low-maintenance solution, yet is cost effective. Product shipment begins in late January 2005.
