Zeiss scanning sensor and software technology is now available for some non-Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), the company announced. Move lets users of non-Zeiss CMMs apply VAST Active Scanning and Calypso CAD-based scanning software to high-accuracy metrology applications. Sensor and software technology, or a software-only upgrade, may be selected. Sensors let users check a wider range of feature tolerances than with touch-trigger probing technology. Software is suitable for all tasks and measuring strategies.
