To make it easier for system integrator customers choosing to use their automation, two more companies have begun certified system integrator programs. (System integrators in the Control Engineering Automation Integrator Guide list such affiliations.) InduSoft’s Certified Integrator Program is an incentive-driven program open to all automation and process control system integrators who recommend and develop solutions using InduSoft Web Studio HMI/SCADA software. Certification entitles system integrators to discount pricing on runtime licenses, special pricing on InduSoft products, and free technical training. The program, which includes annual support fees, lets such integrators may use the InduSoft Certified System Integrator brand mark on their Web sites and commercial material. Marketing materials will be made available, and hard copies of these materials may be ordered.”Customers can now be assured that they’ve engaged a highly qualified system integrator,” says John Dunlap, vice president of industrial marketing at InduSoft. Indusoft is based in Austin, TX. More than 25,000 InduSoft HMI, SCADA, control and data acquisition systems are operating worldwide, the company says. Semaphore , a CSE Global company, has a new Certified Integrator Program for the Americas, for Semaphore’s SCADA system and IP telemetry products. The company says the program links Semaphore and SCADA systems integration firms to provide a packaged solution for sales and technical support of current projects as well as marketing their organizations for new business. The program provides system integrators with training, technical support, internal communications, placement on the Semaphore Web site , and participation in promotion campaigns. Semaphore offers a standard product kit, which includes hardware and software necessary for applications development and demonstrations.Participating systems integrators may promote themselves as Semaphore Certified Integrators; to participate in the program, an integrator must be nominated by Semaphore’s local distribution partner or by a member of Semaphore’s Americas sales team.According to Semaphore, another incentive for SCADA systems integrators to partner with the company is the unique value proposition of the T-Box RTU when compared to PLC-based RTU solutions for telemetry-based applications. T-Box is described as a very cost effective solution for end users and integrators, said to be the first IP-based telemetry solution that enables complete integration of SCADA, control, and communications functionality in one rugged package.Semaphore is based in Nashua, NH.– Edited by  Mark T.
