Torrance, Calif.- The iChip S7600A TCP/IP Protocol Stack is an Internet-ready integrated circuit (IC). Developed in conjunction with iReady Corp. (Santa Ana, Calif.), this chip allows Web browsing, e-mail, and networking to be added to consumer or commercial devices. iCHip permits users to connect to the Internet, or any network that uses the TCP/IP protocol, using their PDAs, organizers, cell phones, or even pagers, as well as other nonportable electronic equipment. The chip runs at a typical speed of 256 kHz and consumes less than 3 mW in typical operation. iChip contains a TCP/IP Protocol Stack that acts as an accelerator between an Intel 80x or Motorola 68000 processor and the Internet or network that uses the TCP/IP protocol.
