Shelton, Conn.— Spectra-Tech’s IR fiber optics are said to be ideal for analyzing samples that are not the optimum shape or size to fit in FT-IR sample compartments or do not conform to traditional sampling accessories. According to the manufacturer, this offers flexibility for applications including hazardous environments, samples that produce toxic vapors, reaction monitoring, restricted access sampling vessels, nondestructive sampling, and oddly shaped samples. These rugged probes, cables, and optical interface have been optimized to give double the throughput and sensitivity of previous versions. They have a wider diameter and are more ergonomic for routine analytical testing. Spectra-Tech Inc.
