Kerk Motion Products offers the LR Series linear rail system, designed for light-load applications where minimal frictional drag, long-wear life, and low cost are primary concerns.
LR Series linear rail system from Kerk Motion Products has standard configurations of 1/4-, 3/8-, 1/2- and 3/4-in. nominal diameters.
Kerk Motion Products offers the LR Series linear rail system, designed for light-load applications where minimal frictional drag, long-wear life, and low cost are primary concerns. Applications include general-purpose positioning in pick-and-place equipment, general and electronic assembly and dispensing systems, bench-top automation, office automation, medical-analysis equipment, and data-storage equipment.
LR Series System has a centerless ground and burnished stainless-steel shaft mated with a graphite- and PTFE-filled thermoplastic bushing, so thermal fluctuations have minimal effect on system performance. It is available with or without a proprietary TFE coating and requires no lubrication or maintenance. The coating increases lubricity, extends life on support shafts, and is available with the stainless and alloy steel models. Standard shaft has straightness of 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) per foot. Typical radial clearance between shaft and bushing is 0.0005 in. (0.013 mm) on non-coated assemblies and 0.001 in. (0.025 mm) on TFE-coated assemblies. Bushings are manufactured with standard retaining ring grooves. Custom diameters and bushings, including multifunction bushings and combined lead screw/linear rail assemblies, are available.
