Oak Brook, Ill. – Dick Morley, an internationally known technology-based visionary, raconteur, and ceo of R. Morley & Co ., presented the opening session of day two of the Measurement, Control & Automation Association 2002 Executive Forum. The forum, billed as the ‘Light at the End of the Tunnel-Management Matters,’ ran from May 20-22.

Mr. Morley addressed a ‘full house’ at the early morning session. His message was simple and he supported it with a myriad of short stories of technology triumphs and failures. According to Morley, technology is the driver of a changing business and financial landscape and offers opportunity within turbulence.

He cautioned the audience that ‘meeting change as it occurs’ was paramount to success in any technology-based startup. Only ‘changes in technology make money,’ he continued, ‘anything else just redistributes wealth.’
