OMAC aims to optimize MS Windows in manufacturing

OMAC’s MSMUG (Microsoft Manufacturing Users Group) plans a Webcast on Nov. 14, 2005: “Optimizing MS Windows in Manufacturing.” OMAC, now part of ISA, invites participation “with manufacturing end-users to help define how best to apply MS Windows.” Topics include:

  • Configuring for optimal use and security in concert with ISA-SP99 guidelines on manufacturing and control systems security;

  • Installing and managing patches with minimal disruptions to operations; and

  • Achieving interoperability.

The group says those attending will hear about latest developments and help establish future directions in the group’s three working committees – MUGPatch, MUGSecure, and MUGOPC.
