PACs: Relay output module controls output loads

A new isolated relay output module is now available for GE Fanuc Automation ’s PACSystems RX3i and Series 90-30 controllers. The 4-A 16-point relay output module provides 16 Form A relays for controlling output loads; maximum output switching capacity of each circuit is 4 A. Each output point is isolated from the other points, and each point has a separate common power output terminal. Outputs provide a high degree of noise immunity, minimizing the need to add external snubbers, and control a wide range of output devices, including motor starters, solenoids, and indicators.

PACSystems RX3i controller is part of the PACSystems family of programmable automation controllers (PACs). It features a single control engine and universal programming environment to provide application portability across multiple hardware platforms and deliver a true convergence of control choices. The RX3i is said to offer a high level of automation functionality in a compact, cost-effective package. Its portable control engine provides high performance on several different platforms, allowing OEMs and end users to choose the control system hardware that best suits their needs.

Series 90-30 PLC is a family of controllers, I/O systems, and specialty modules designed for versatile industrial solutions. With its single overall control architecture, says the company, the Series 90-30 has been the PLC of record in more than 500,000 applications, including high-speed packaging, material handling, complex motion control, water treatment, continuous emissions monitoring, mining, food processing, and injection molding.
