Product: Wireless network setup software

Phoenix Contact has introduced its new RAD-Link software, V 3.0 to assist users as they configure wireless networks using the company’s family of wireless Ethernet products. Using this system, users can set up new networks, and monitor performance of existing communication.

This Microsoft Windows-based serial data radio programming software includes a setup wizard for new networks and to analyze interactions between transmitters and receivers. The advanced tree structure allows the user to see the name of each radio and review which slaves are communicating with the master and which are communicating through repeaters. The software includes functions which can change the configuration of the individual devices.

Phoenix Contact’s wireless offerings are generally designed to support Ethernet and serial communication rather than instrumentation mesh networks. However, they do manufacture single transmitters designed to handle 4-20 mA analog signals which can be linked to individual sensor devices.
