Nidec Drives has updated Nidec Connect PC commissioning tool to enhance drive setup speed and usability. The tool now includes guided, step-by-step PC-based support to simplify configuration.

Nidec Connect V3 is developed to reduce setup challenges and improve usability. The tool includes an updated interface and several functions, such as:

• Auto-discovery via Ethernet, Serial, or Bluetooth
• Guided setup with dropdown motor selection
• Real-time tuning with integrated scope and motion analysis tools
• Visual I/O configuration and dynamic logic diagramming
• PLC integration and built-in self-diagnostics

To support this update, Nidec Drives has launched an online hub with documentation, tools, and resources for commission and  configuring Connect V3.

Human-Centred Design (HCD) principles were applied to improve usability from purchase to set-up. The upgrade addresses common setup challenges and provides integration across component.

It is intended to improve usability, performance and overall user experience.
