Pepperl+Fuchs and Körber, two established companies in the pharmaceutical sector, have partnered to provide digital production management solutions for life sciences companies. Körber, known for its PAS-X MES manufacturing execution system, is provider of digital manufacturing management solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech and cell and gene therapy industries. PAS-X MES supports the entire manufacturing process—from process development through commercial production and packaging.
VisuNet HMIs provide reliable connectivity to PAS-X MES
Pepperl+Fuchs’ GMP-compliant VisuNet HMIs allow users to access PAS-X MES securely from various devices, including stationary workstations, mobile units and handheld devices. This partnership provides plant operators with enhanced operational flexibility.
Pepperl+Fuchs has been certified by Körber as a “PAS-X HMI Device” partner at the Ready level. Several field installations have shown that the combined solution performs reliably in practical applications.
Advantages for the pharmaceutical industry
The VisuNet HMI series includes Ex-certifications up to Zone 1/21 and Div.1, making it suitable for a wide range of international safety standards in pharmaceutical and life sciences production. The modular design of the VisuNet FLX and VisuNet GXP series provides operational flexibility—display, computing and power supply units can be replaced directly in the field. This design helps reduce downtime, simplify maintenance and e support long-term system reliability.
Partnership focused on operational efficiency
Through their partnership, Pepperl+Fuchs and Körber enable customers to integrate and use PAS-X MES, a pharma MES solution, directly on VisuNet HMIs. The interaction between the two systems allows operators to access production data more easily, perform routine tasks more efficiently and reduce errors, resulting in an integrated setup that supports secure and compliant manufacturing operations.
