Beckhoff has introduced Beckhoff XTS EcoLine motor module, designed for economical integration into product transport systems. The module delivers approximately 95% of the performance of standard XTS motor modules at 55% of the cost for the same motor length. It is compatible with all existing XTS motor modules, supporting use in applications across industries such as assembly, battery manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceutical and lab automation.
The XTS EcoLine motor module differs from other models in its product family due to its length. At 500 mm, it is twice as long as the standard straight XTS motor modules while maintaining the same grid dimensions. The module retains the reliability and performance specifications of other XTS components, including travel speed of up to 4 m/s and acceleration of up to 10 g.
Although lower in cost, the XTS EcoLine module has only minor differences in its technical properties:
- 0.70 mm absolute accuracy and 0.075 mm repeatability
- 70/80* mm minimum product distance
- up to 30/45* N nominal force and up to 80/105* N peak force per mover
*with 5/7 pole magnets
The XTS EcoLine motor module, compatible with other XTS modules, can be used in applications such as:
- processes where maximum accuracy or minimal transport distances are not required
- in combination with high-accuracy XTS motor modules (e.g. for transport routes without process stations)
