Testing
Testing is the primary project activity currently as we work to get the software fully functional before the customer checkout December 13. The development system is set up in San Francisco. One tester is working locally and another resource is testing software from our Tinley Park, IL, office over a terminal server. As issues arise in the microfiltration software, they are corrected and verified, and fixes are distributed to other modules with similar functionality– including the ultrafiltration (UF) software. This makes UF testing much easier.
External Applications
The project includes our own batch recipe execution system– BatchEM. The BatchEM recipe editor is accessible from the HMI. We also provide a Web-based application called LogViewer that simplifies access to a back end SQL Server database. Our TagEvents Web application is a scaled down LogViewer that can receive a module tag so the page only shows data specific to a particular piece of equipment. With applications that retrieve data from SQL Server, we have to make sure that the desired data gets put into SQL Server in the first place.
