Self-programmable Flash microcontroller

Chandler, Ariz.—PICmicro Flash devices featuring in-circuit serial programming allow microcontrollers to be programmed after being placed in a circuit board. This enables reduced cost of field upgrades, system calibration during manufacturing (or in the field), and adding unique identification codes to the system.

Chandler, Ariz .—PICmicro Flash devices featuring in-circuit serial programming allow microcontrollers to be programmed after being placed in a circuit board. This enables reduced cost of field upgrades, system calibration during manufacturing (or in the field), and adding unique identification codes to the system. Customers can remotely reprogram the Flash memory in socket through the Serial Communication Interface hardware module. The product offers endurance with up to a million erase/write cycles to data memory and 100,000 erase/write cycles to program memory. www.microchip.com . Microchip Technology
