Phoenix Contact applied its 1/2-turn Speedcon quick-locking M12 connection system to its extensive line of sensor/actuator boxes. Compatible with all standard M12 connectors, it’s said to reduce installation time by 90%. |
Phoenix Contact , developer and manufacturer of specialized electronic components and connection systems, has added the Speedcon, quick-locking, M12 connection-system technology to its line of sensor/actuator boxes (SACBs). A simple “1/2 turn” makes a secure, watertight and vibration-proof connection between cordsets and devices, reducing installation time by 90%. Compatible with all standard M12 connectors on the market, Speedcon requires no special adapters, making it backward and forward compatible.
The new SACBs integrate a metal threaded slot and are potted to help with the IP65/67 rating, for harsh industrial environments. Boxes are available with 4, 6 or 8 slots and with or without LEDs, providing multiple design options. Additional features include preassembled master cables and pluggable screw connections.
