Atlanta, GA —Filomena Wardzel, automation solutions manager, Siemens Energy & Automation , has been named to the Profibus Trade Organization (PTO) board of directors. Wardzel’s appointment continues Siemens presence on the PTO board, filling the slot previously occupied by Tom Kopanski, vice president of Siemens Automation and Motion Div. She becomes one of five board members who meet throughout the year to direct and oversee association policies and activities. Others on the board include PTO Executive Director Mike Bryant and representatives from Wonderware, DVT (owned by Cognex), and Endress+Hauser.
“Siemens participation on the PTO demonstrates our commitment to advancing this standardized, open network,” Wardzel said. “We will continue to look for new and innovative ways to bring this technology to our manufacturing and process control customers worldwide.”
Commented Bryant, “The PTO board is sad to see Tom depart, but we are elated that Filomena will fill that spot. She has been actively involved in the PTO for the past three years and brings a wealth of experience to the position.”
Wardzel joined Siemens Energy & Automation in 2000 and oversees the company’s go-to-market strategies for its Automation Solutions Business. She holds a B.S. degree from State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA from State University of New York at Albany.
