Lake Forest, CA— Wonderware has released the latest version of its ActiveFactory data analysis and reporting software for the IndustrialSQL Server real-time plant historian. ActiveFactory 8.5’s clients offer sophisticated real-time and historical plant analysis tools, as well as Web-based reporting capabilities. Wonderware is a business unit of Invensys Systems Inc.
‘ActiveFactory software excels at delivering real-time and historical data to plant decision makers,’ says Jim Frider, Wonderware’s plant intelligence product marketing manager. ‘This release extends support to Wonderware’s new Industrial Tablets, allowing mobile workers to view real-time data anywhere on the plant floor.’
ActiveFactory 8.5 software includes a component for Wonderware’s SuiteVoyager portal software, which provides enhanced displays to illustrate trend data and reports via the Web. SuiteVoyager’s real-time plant information portal provides access to plant information and content from anywhere at any time. It also offers improved configuration capabilities that enable SuiteVoyager’s users to receive customized reports and trends from ActiveFactory clients.
‘ActiveFactory’s new capabilities enhance SuiteVoyager’s ability to deliver information to the right person, in the right context, at the right time, facilitating continuous plant improvement initiatives,’ adds Frider. ‘ActiveFactory’s powerful ability to publish interactive reports to the Web via the SuiteVoyager portal means that users can quickly create ad hoc reports simply by selecting a new time period or tag selection without spending a large amount of time configuring reports.’
SuiteVoyager software gives customers the information they need to make better business decisions, while enabling central administration, improving efficiency and providing fast ROI.
In addition, ActiveFactory 8.5 software extends to support Wonderware’s new Industrial Tablets, allowing mobile workers to view real-time data anywhere on the plant floor. The software also supports Microsoft Office 2003’s set of integrated productivity software tools. ‘ActiveFactory leverages our customers’ Microsoft Office software skills by providing Microsoft Excel and Word add-ins, which allow non-technical users to quickly create rich plant reports. There is less to learn and results are gained faster,’ says Frider.
By supplying real-time plant data to anyone in the enterprise who needs it, ActiveFactory clients, in conjunction with other Wonderware products, facilitate plant intelligence. As a key component of Wonderware’s modular and sustainable plant intelligence strategy, ActiveFactory software disseminates information across a network, corporate intranet or the Internet. ActiveFactory clients provide data trend analysis, database querying, numerical data analysis using Microsoft Excel, comprehensive data reporting using Microsoft Word, and ad hoc access to historical and real-time plant information.
