Doug has consistently shown Leadership in the quality of his projects and how he is able to lead groups of engineers in completing tasks. Based on this in his project management skills, Doug was elevated to Leader of Projects where he was able to use his skills to lead other Project Managers on profitable and successful projects. Doug has unique skills to communicate his vision while remaining focused on the individual needs of his teams. He has demonstrated being a great leader and should be recognized.

Achievements, Advancement & Career-related Industry Contributions

He lead electrical crews for roughly a year prior to going back to college for an EE degree, co-opted for a year working mainly in the Pulp and Paper industry, and worked as an EE for 3 years designing control and power panels, working in heavy manufacturing as a controls engineer. He also worked as a controls engineer for 2 more years and then as an engineering lead for 3 years on control systems. Doug began project managing for the next 3 years prior to moving into leader of projects leadership role.

Non-work-related Activities & Hobbies

“We love to find furniture at a decent price that we can refurbish. Taking older furniture that has seen better days and making it into a new looking piece. This is always a good lesson for kids, knowing that you can take something old and make it look beautiful again. New and expensive are not always the best or needed route.

“Everything in the world these days is moving toward technology and communication. Each individual in the control’s field has a chance to shape the future. Automation is becoming more a part of everyone’s everyday life style.”
