Phoenix Contact introduced Phoenix PTCB TM, a pluggable thermal-magnetic circuit breaker with an 8 mm width. The module combines protection and signaling and its form factor can reduce panel space requirements by up to 65% compared with other thermal-magnetic circuit breakers.
The thermal-magnetic circuit breakers are designed for industrial applications with high inrush currents. They are available with nominal current ratings from 0.5 A to 16 A and offer F2 and M1 trip curves to support different load types, including electronic loads, motors and transformers.
The PTCB TM includes alignable current monitoring with an adjustable signaling threshold for local and remote load status indication. Digital outputs allow integration with a PLC for remote status monitoring. A tilting lever indicates the switching status, including when the power is off.
The entire PTCB TM series can be bridged to Phoenix Contact’s CLIPLINE complete terminal block range for integration into existing applications.
