“Sterling Business Integration Suite represents an innovative approach to addressing the integration challenges companies face in managing their business collaboration networks,” said Scott Pulsipher, senior VP, products and marketing, Sterling Commerce. “By using the suite’s comprehensive capabilities, companies can avoid complex cross-vendor implementations and yield the greatest amount of value and ROI from their integration projects.”
Pulsipher said the suite contains solutions that address three critical challenges facing businesses today:



The B2B integration capabilities include on-boarding and managing large communities of customers and suppliers.
Managed file transfer involves expediting processes that depend on transferring large files between companies.
Sterling Commerce President and CEO Bob Irwin said the suite will make it easier for companies to “optimize and transform” their collaboration networks, something he sees as essential for surviving in today’s volatile business climate.
Ameriprise Financial has already seen results from deploying the suite. “With Sterling Business Integration Suite, we are able to move our high volume of documents on a daily basis much quicker, cheaper, and with higher quality,” said Ian Silver, senior technical analyst at Ameriprise Financial. “We now have repeatable processes across all of our different business partners—both external and internal—enabling use to cut connect times in half. We have driven another 10 percent to 20 percent out of our standard integration costs through operational efficiencies.”
