Baldor has recently completed the move of its Columbus, MS, plant to a new facility located a few miles from the old location. The new 350,000 sq ft facility doubles the size of the previous plant, adding manufacturing capacity and improving process flow. Baldor is more than doubling its Oshkosh, WI, generator plant by adding over 100,000 sq ft to the existing facility.
“We continue to manufacture in the United States,” says Baldor’s vice president of marketing, Randy Breaux, “Our people are very productive and understand that if we don’t take care of our customers, someone else will.” The company recently added to educational and training facilities with Boreham Learning Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas adjacent to its corporate offices.
Baldor, based in Fort Smith, AR, helps augment productivity by using its own industrial electric motors, drives, and generators, among automation used in its facilities. www.baldor.com
