EC: Modbus TCP/IP to Profinet Device Gateway (Two-Port)
Network Integration - Ethernet hardware: The Modbus TCP/IP to Profinet Device Gateway allows you to transfer data between Modbus TCP and Profinet devices that are located on different subnets. This is a Control Engineering 2016 Engineers’ Choice Honorable Mention.
The two-port Modbus TCP/IP to Profinet Device Gateway was designed to ease integration of dissimilar control equipment by allowing these systems to reside on different subnets. If your devices are on two different subnets and you needed to transfer data, you would need to change all of the IP addresses to the same subnet. The gateway supports high-speed data transfers of up to 1,440 B of read and 1,440 B of write data. The Ethernet ports allow for remote configuration and diagnostics. Its SD card slot allows you to store your configuration file that can be used to get you up and running quickly in the event of a failure.
