Electronic marquee interfaces with plant-floor devices

Milwaukee, Wis.—Using DeviceNet, Profibus, or Modbus Plus communications, users can link PLCs to Alpha electronic messaging marquees to provide "at a glance" plant-floor information. A gateway interface resides on the communication network and converts to an RS-485 network for use by the Alpha display.

Milwaukee, Wis.— Using DeviceNet, Profibus, or Modbus Plus communications, users can link PLCs to Alpha electronic messaging marquees to provide “at a glance” plant-floor information. A gateway interface resides on the communication network and converts to an RS-485 network for use by the Alpha display. The marquee stores up to 4,000 messages, including attributes for color, fonts, flashing, etc. Marquees can be as long as 72-in. (1.8 m) and heights vary. . Alpha marquees are available in NEMA 12, 4 and 4X enclosures.
