Power-over-Ethernet technology, now available on QSI’s QTerm-G7 graphics terminal, combines power and data on the same Cat5 Ethernet cable. Technology lets users replace older proprietary power sources and eliminates the need to run 115 V ac power to devices on a wired LAN. The Ethernet-enabled graphics terminal is based on an object-based graphic terminal programming language called Qlarity and features industrial-grade options including a 320 x 240 pixel lighted graphics LCD screen (color or grayscale); 10Base-T Ethernet with TCP/IP support; touchscreen with optional PS/2 keyboard connection; EIA-232, 422, or 485 serial interface; and 4 MB Flash/16 MB RAM in a NEMA-4, CE housing. Display can be customized for specific applications.
