Amherst, N.Y.— DM224i-EDN is API Controls’ new micro-stepping drive equipped with a Device Net network interface. It’s capable of 3 A per phase at 48 V, and can produce holding torque up to 350 oz-in. when mated with the company’s MST high-torque step motors. This unit eliminates the need for indexers or motion controllers in many applications because it accepts direct, high-level digital commands from the machine controller via DeviceNet. It also features automatic midband stabilization and micro-step-to-full step switching, plus programmable low power mode.
