Omega has released its HPWS series of long range wireless system simultaneously monitors and controls 4 switches or valves up to 8 miles away. The HPWS is easy to set up and install with its NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure, ideal for supervising the fluid level in a tank, operation of a distant pump from a control station, or monitoring the status of a pumpline.

The included 0.9 m (3 ft) antenna provides an 8 mile, outdoor line-of-sight range. In addition, the elevated barrier strip allows for easy wiring to user’s switches.

The transmitter’s included backup battery ensures transmissions will continue even when there’s a short power loss at the monitoring location. The HPWS-REC also allows for an optional battery backup, which can provide up to 24 hours of normal use during a power loss. The 12 V SLA battery is designed to recharge once ac power is restored.

The HPWS Series transmitters and receivers employ watertight cable glands allowing the fiberglass enclosure, ensuring continued performance when mounted outdoors.
