Profibus communication master for PLC

North Andover, Mass.— Schneider Electric has introduced a Profibus DP Master module for its mid-range Premium PLC platform. The module enables the Premium CPU to communicate with up to 2,048 inputs, 2,048 outputs, and up to 126 devices on each Profibus DP network. Two Profibus DP master modules can be run simultaneously on some Premium CPUs. In addition to Profibus communications, the Premium PLC supports Ethernet, Modbus Plus, WorldFIP, InterBus, AS-i, Modbus, Unitelway, and Jbus communications. Schneider Electric Automation
