Turck Inc. announced that “Kübler by Turck” 2 in. encoders are assembled in Minneapolis to shorten lead times, now less than one week for encoders with 1,024 pulses per revolution or less.

These die-cast aluminum encoders are available with up to 3,600 pulses per revolution and are ideal for strenuous factory applications such as material handling, conveyor systems, process control, and web control.

The encoders include a captive bearing design said to provide dramatically longer bearing life and extra protection during encoder installation. A high shock rating of 250 g allows continued operation when other encoders would fail, along with improved EMI resistance for electrically noisy environments. They also feature some of the highest speed ratings (up to 12,000 rpm) and frequency responses (300 kHz) in the industry.
