Evolving electromagnetic flowmeter adds innovations

Endress+Hauser's soon-to-be-launched PROline electromagnetic flowmeter line features innovations that build on the more than 200,000 flowmeters it has sold since 1993. PROline includes Endress+Hauser's first two-wire transmitters offering decreased installation and operating costs, as well as explosion-proof protection.

Endress+Hauser’s soon-to-be-launched PROline electromagnetic flowmeter line features innovations that build on the more than 200,000 flowmeters it has sold since 1993. PROline includes Endress+Hauser’s first two-wire transmitters offering decreased installation and operating costs, as well as explosion-proof protection.

Two versions will be available, Promag 23P for process measurements and 23H for sanitary applications. Over the coming year, PROline will expand to include Coriolis, vortex, thermal mass, and ultrasonic flowmeters. These products will be available in fall 2000.

Sensors on PROline magmeters are adaptable to specific industries. For example, a polyurethane liner is available for water and wastewater, while a highly resistant PFA liner is available for chemical processing applications. For sanitary applications, diffusion and vacuum resistant PFA liners allow steam cleaning. Process connections are also available to meet other specific requirements. In addition, both sensors and transmitters are electronically and mechanically compatible with Promag flowmeters already in service.
