Herndon, Va. - Invensys plc, the global automation and controls group, announced October 22 that Leo Quinn has been appointed division chief executive of the Software Systems division, effective immediately.
Herndon, Va. – Invensys plc , the global automation and controls group, announced October 22 that Leo Quinn has been appointed division chief executive of the Software Systems division, effective immediately.
He replaces Bruce Henderson, who resigned earlier this month. Mr. Quinn, 44, joins Invensys from Tridium Inc., where he was president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A business partner of Invensys, Tridium supplies software, which enables remote real-time control via the Internet of intelligent devices for industrial processes, power, and building management.
Previously Mr. Quinn was with Honeywell for 17 years, where he held a number of senior positions in operations and strategic planning. Most recently he was president of its Enterprise Solutions unit, a $2B, 15,000-employee organization responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of critical control and energy management systems for buildings and facilities.
He attended colleges in the UK and is an engineering graduate of both the University of Surrey and Portsmouth University. He received an MS in Management Science from Imperial College, London.
