calls its new vision system ānext-generation.ā In-Sight Micro vision system incorporates a complete vision system into a small package that measures 30 mm x 30 mm x 60 mm and works in conjunction with new EasyBuilder configuration software and the smart VisionView operator interface display, company says.
ā Whatās truly revolutionary about the In-Sight Micro vision system is that it transforms machine vision into a much more affordable and accessible solution for so many people,ā said Justin Testa, Cognex senior vice president. āNow even users unfamiliar with machine vision systems will find it easy to set up and deploy machine vision applications.ā
In-Sight Micro vision system is suitable for mounting in tight spaces on robots, production lines, and machinery. It provides flexible mounting capability with a non-linear calibration tool to enable mounting at angles of up to 45 degrees for hard-to-reach applications. Five In-Sight Micro models cover a range of price, performance, and resolution levels, including a 2-megapixel model. Also included is the Cognex vision tool library to handle the broadest range of vision applications for the widest array of industries, company says.
EasyBuilder configuration software permits easy setup and deployment, with a simple point-and-click approach to walk users through setup step-by-step, eliminating the need for programming and provides the flexibility to customize complex applications, Cognex explains. The VisionView 700 operator interface panel simplifies monitoring production processes without a PC. Once connected, VisionView automatically detects any Cognex vision system on the network and displays information from up to nine vision systems in a tiled view.
