Industrial companies are increasingly focusing on improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. A key contributor to energy use in these operations is the drive train, which consists of variable speed drives, motors, pumps, and other components. Siemens Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud, part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, supports efforts to lower the energy consumption in drive systems by enabling energy-based maintenance strategies.

Continuous monitoring and AI-based optimization to improve energy efficiency
The Siemens Connection Module IOT collects data from the drive train and sends it to the Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud. Operating metrics such as load, energy consumption and power usage are calculated and displayed in real time. The system uses AI-based analysis to identify deviations from optimal operation, track energy use, CO2 emissions, and costs, and suggest areas for improvement. It also estimates return on investment (ROI) to support planning and budgeting. T Based on these insights, users can adjust engine control, maintenance schedules, and load distribution to improve efficiency.
Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud identifies inefficient engine performance and suggests adjustments to improve efficiency. In some cases, it has been shown to reduce drive system energy consumption by 10 to 20 percent. The cloud-based system enables data sharing across locations and supports improvements in operational efficiency across multiple sites. Additionally, data from the Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud can be integrated with higher-level energy management systems.
Siemens Industrial Copilot for operations: Drive train support for users
To improve usability and help address workforce challenges, an integrated Siemens Industrial Copilot now supports operations. The GenAI-based chatbot allows users to ask questions in their native language and receive guidance on understanding system data. This feature is designed to improve the efficiency and usability of Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud. The Siemens Industrial Copilot also supports applications across various stages of the value chain, including design, planning, engineering, operations, and services.
Drivetrain Analyzer Cloud is part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. It supports efforts to improve energy efficiency and meet sustainability targets in industrial operations. This contributes to broader sustainability initiatives.
