IoT/IIoT and factory automation are creating applications for ROLEC’s updated pole-mountable technoPLUS plastic enclosures, which are rated IP 66, IP 67 and IP 69K. Electronics designers specify them for ‘close-to-the-process’ devices that must withstand dust, moisture and regular washdowns.
Compact ROLEC technoPLUS enclosures provide sealed protection, allowing industrial electronics to be mounted directly on machine frames, production-line supports, conveyor structures or masts near machinery and production equipment.
The UV-stable enclosures are suited for IIoT LoRaWAN, NB-IoT and MQTT edge gateways, cellular telemetry units, industrial data loggers, edge computing nodes, remote PLC communications and wireless sensor concentrators.
Factory automation applications include industrial remote I/O stations, machine condition monitoring, wireless industrial networking, automated guided vehicle (AGV) and autonomous mobile robot (AMR) infrastructure, machine vision, distributed PLC systems, factory environmental monitoring and safety technology.
technoPLUS enclosures can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and the pole/mast attachment accessory is designed for use with plastic or metal straps. ‘Lid closed’ installation helps protect the electronics and seal while equipment is fitted or removed in wet, exposed outdoor, dusty or washdown-prone industrial environments. Hinged polypropylene covers conceal the lid screws and mounting channels.
The lid is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad, face plate or product label. Integrated supports hold the lid in place when it is open. Inside the enclosure, screw bosses for PCBs, mounting plates (accessory) and terminal rails (accessory).
The enclosures are molded from ASA (UL 94 HB) in light gray (RAL 7035) with anthracite gray (RAL 7016) cover trims. There are five sizes from 3.54" x 5.12" x 2.76" to 6.69" x 10.63" x 3.54".
