Affolter Group, a Swiss manufacturer specializing in high-precision gear hobbing solutions, has introduced the Affolter AF140 gear hobbing center. Designed for small gears up to 40 mm in diameter and a maximum module of 1.0 mm, the AF140 replaces the AF90 and AF100 models, combining their key features with updated automation and connectivity options.

Developed in collaboration with users and industry partners, the AF140 addresses the industry’s need for compact, versatile, and easy-to-operate gear hobbing equipment.

• Compact and versatile: The Affolter AF140 is designed for machining small parts up to 40 mm in diameter and 1.0 mm module. It integrates features from the AF100 and AF90 models, offering a balance of functionality and space efficiency.
• The AF140 can be equipped with a robotic arm for automated loading and unloading and is compatible with existing loader systems. It supports remote service and digital connectivity for integration into connected manufacturing environments.
• The AF140 is suitable for producing small gears used in precision sectors such as watchmaking, micromechanics, aerospace, automotive, micromotors, robotics and medical device manufacturing.
