New load-powered latching relay cuts energy use
PRODUCT FEATURES
- The latching relay changes state with a single pulse, which keeps energy use low.
- Harvest mode lets the device operate from the open-circuit load without drawing system power.
- A power output pin supplies up to 10 mW to external circuits for additional low-power functions.
- The 3 × 3 mm DFN package saves board space and supports thin device designs.
- Zero-cross switching lowers electrical noise and supports dependable switching in AC loads.
- TTL/CMOS-compatible inputs allow straightforward connection to microcontrollers or logic circuits.

Littelfuse, Inc. announced the launch of Littelfuse CPC1601M, a 60 V, 2 A normally open (1-Form-A) solid-state latching relay aimed at simplifying integration and improving power efficiency in thermostats, HVAC systems and building automation.
The CPC1601M combines load-powered operation with a latching architecture in a 3 × 3 mm DFN package. It can draw power from the load or less than 1 μA from the system supply, supporting ultra-low-power operation that extends battery life or enables battery-free designs in some applications.
