Yokogawa Corporation of America introduced the EJX S Series Next Generation Pressure Transmitter at YNOW2026; Sam Hassan, Yokogawa manager, product development (Figure 1) said that the new transmitter provides uptime, safety and lifecycle value, turning pressure data into operational confidence, telling users what’s going to happen, rather than what happened. The digital pressure transmitter builds on more than 60 years of pressure experience and 20 years of EJX expertise. It’s built in Newnan, Georgia, and offers plus or minus 0.025% accuracy, 20 years of stability and 400:1 rangeability. The digital silicon resonant sensor provides direct digital measurements, dynamic compensation for temperature and static pressure. It has excellent repeatability and reduced measurement drift compared to prior products. It keeps the plant running and knows when something is wrong, Hassan said, featuring advanced diagnostics, modular architecture and promotes condition-based rather than reactive-based maintenance. The design is said to require less maintenance in the field, Hassan said. Other features include safety integrity level 2 (SIL2) and is SIL3 when two devices are used; IP68 protection level; enhanced noise immunity; harsh-environment design; and durability built to withstand extreme conditions. Hassan said it goes beyond providing just measurements, to offering understanding in a lower-cost measurement asset that’s easier to specify, install, operate and maintenance, with lower capital expenditure (CapEx), lower operating expenditures (OpEx), higher availability and greater measurement confidence. Communications operations include HART or Profinet, and it can be configured for Ethernet APL.
