Wide-range sync module for redundant controllers

A new wide-range sync module for the redundant S7-1500H controllers has been developed especially for tunnel applications that require a large local distance between primary and backup controllers. With these sync modules, the H-CPUs can be placed apart at a distance of 8 km to 40 km. The existing sync modules are still available for shorter distances. When using this type of module, the maximum ambient temperature of the H-system is reduced from 60°C to 55°C.
