Winter update adds AI features for asset records and scheduling

Limble released a winter update that adds three features that use AI:

1. Asset Snap supports automated asset setup by converting photos of equipment into asset records in Limble. Using image and text recognition, it identifies fields such as manufacturer, model and serial number during entry. Limble says this can reduce onboarding time for new and existing equipment by up to 80% and reduce manual data entry.

2. Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standardized method for developers to connect Limble to enterprise systems and AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code. This connection allows reliability and maintenance teams to use maintenance data for analysis, such as identifying assets that drive maintenance costs or where technician capacity is constrained.

3. Resource Planning adds workload and scheduling recommendations using AI and provides a consolidated view of scheduled and on-demand work. This can help maintenance leaders prioritize work, allocate resources and balance workloads. Limble estimates the feature can save 10-15 hours per week on scheduling and improve visibility into capacity.
