Redundant EtherNet/IP driver

Fully redundant support is now available for Mynah Technologies' EtherNet/IP driver for the DeltaV virtual IO module. Driver and interface module allows redundant, high-speed, high-performance Ethernet integration from DeltaV controllers to Rockwell Automation PLCs that use the ControlLogix redundancy system.

Fully redundant support is now available for Mynah Technologies’ EtherNet/IP driver for the DeltaV virtual IO module. Driver and interface module allows redundant, high-speed, high-performance Ethernet integration from DeltaV controllers to Rockwell Automation PLCs that use the ControlLogix redundancy system. Application architecture lets redundant virtual IO-modules work in unison with redundant ControlLogix processors that have redundant ENBT Ethernet modules. Component failure on either system, or the Ethernet network, is handled without communications loss in a comprehensive, bumpless, switchover scheme.

DeltaV virtual-IO module with the EtherNet/IP scanner driver supports communication with Rockwell PLCs. It includes:

Class 1, Implicit IO Messaging for ControlLogix, FlexLogix, SoftLogix processors; and

Class 3, Explicit Messaging (also called encapsulated DF1) for PLC5 with Ethernet port, SLC505, and Logix processors.

Support for Rockwell-PLC5 redundancy system and Modbus TCP/IP networks and devices will be released in fall 2005. www.mynah.com Mynah Technologies
