Version 7.6 of Metastorm’ s business process management (BPM) software suite expands to a shared services platform, including extended support for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and document libraries; enhancements to the Metastorm BPM client for Microsoft Office 2007; business activity monitoring (BAM) on Windows Vista; new user-configurable reporting capabilities; and support for advanced process simulation and analysis within Metastorm BPM that directly utilizes Metastorm ProVision.

According to Mike Thompson, BPM practice director at U.K.-based research organization Butler Group , Metastorm is the first vendor to focus on bringing enterprise architecture, business process analysis, and business process management capabilities together on a common platform. “The incorporation of the Metastorm ProVision simulation engine running within Metastorm BPM in this new release provides one of the strongest simulation and analysis capabilities available in a single BPMS today,” says Thompson.
