A small, rectangular spot (2 x 2.5 mm) is adjusted to the shape of marking to be detected. The unit can be ordered with either pull-in or release delay of 10 msec. When operated in normally open mode with release delay, light markings on a dark background can be recognized. pull-in delay is suitable for recognition of dark markings on a light background.
