Stamford, Conn.- The CN9600 controller includes the option of a low-cost serial communication system that uses Microsoft Windows-based software. CN9-SW Series software bridges the gap between the ‘standalone’ system and full SCADA of fieldbus control networks by allowing remote supervision of up to 128 instruments using Modbus protocol. It is said to require only a modest investment and can be operated with a medium specification PC or laptop that can run with Windows 95, 98, and NT. Additional units include 4-digit display, five alarm configurations, multi-ramp and soak, PID heat-cool control, and a NEMA-4 faceplate. www.omega.com Omega Engineering
