Honeywell Process Solutions' (HPS) Experion LX distributed control system (DCS) has received enhancements for its batch systems, SCADA capabilities, and engineering tools.
Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Process Solutions’ (HPS) Experion LX, is a distributed control system (DCS) designed to support midsized chemical processing, industrial power, biofuels, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and water and wastewater facilities. The most recent version of Experion LX has an S88-compliant batch system that runs on Experion LX’s C300 controller. It is designed to provide reliable batch operations and it uses class-based recipes that enable reuse of recipes and helps reduce the cost of recipe engineering, maintenance, and testing. It also has enhanced supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) capabilities including equipment-based configuration that is designed to reduces engineering effort. It also has engineering tools, such as HMIWeb Solution Pack, which provides a library of standardized objects to build ASM-compliant displays. It also has the CAB Developer and Application Development Toolkit, which allows algorithm and application development that is tailored for specific requirements to reduce engineering and maintenance costs.
