EC: WISE-4000 Series

Network Integration I/O - Ethernet, wireless: The Wise IoT I/O modules allow connectivity to both IT applications via RESTful API in JSON format and control applications via the Modbus/TCP protocol. This is a Control Engineering 2016 Engineers’ Choice Honorable Mention.

The Wise-4000 IoT wireless I/O modules will revolutionize the way data is gathered from remote or difficult to hard-wire locations. They combine three core functions of data acquisition, processing, and publishing into a single I/O module to meet the needs of a wide range of industries.

The WISE-4000 I/O modules can be used without the need of a gateway. This means deployment is much easier because a limitless number of I/O modules can be used to gather information from any third party sensor and connect to an existing network.

With an integrated HTML5 interface, the WISE-4000 I/O modules can be configured and accessed from any mobile device using a standard web browser without the need of an access point. They use the popular RESTful API which allows system integrators to adjust the configuration to meet their specific needs and reduce the amount of effort required to acquire big data.

The WISE-4000 data logger can send time-stamped information to a dropbox account or private cloud depending on the configuration. In the event of network failure, the modules can buffer the device data so nothing is lost.

There is also three levels of security (WPA2, SSL, and three levels of user login) and an interchangable antenna for greater flexibility. External DIP switches provide the ability to quickly default to the factory settings.
