Intelligent sensing platform for Internet of things networking

B&B Electronics' Wzzard intelligent sensing platform uses iterative control limits and gateway data aggregation to support applications closer to the network edge.

B&B Electronics’ Wzzard intelligent sensing platform is a wireless sensor connectivity platform for the deployment of responsive Internet of Things (IoT) networking in remote and less resourceful environments for integrators, VARs and service providers. Unlike SCADA applications where sensors and edge devices are passive conduits for raw data, Wzzard uses iterative control limits and gateway data aggregation to support applications closer to the network edge. Wzzard intelligent edge nodes will connect, via conduit fitting cable gland or M12 connector, to any industry-standard sensor. The device comes with analog inputs, digital input/output, thermocouple interfaces, and control time synchronization. Wzzard intelligent edge nodes can be configured with Android or iOS smartphones to communicate data outside specified thresholds or associate geo-location, device name, and up-time information with the collected sensor data for upstream analytics applications. Wzzard nodes are IP67 rated for outdoor use and include both magnetized and screw mount options.
